Flat Lake Premiere

Gala Flat Lake Premiere Screening of our recently completed feature film ‘The Ballad of Honky Mc Swaine’ weekend of June 2nd. 2012 Ballad of Mc SwaineAs an added treat this year, your ticket will also include a Premiere Screening of our recently completed feature film ‘The Ballad of Honky Mc Swaine’. The film, written by Pat and myself, has in many ways been wrought from the collaborative landscape The Flat Lake has tried to create over the years and is an interesting example of what it is capabale of delivering. Although financed independently by Smuggler Films in Los Angeles, much of the infrastructure and crew components materialised from the ethos of the festival itself. We are hopeful that the movie may prove to be a viable productioin model in terms of what can actually be achieved with very little money and compete in a marketplace driven by untrammelled greed and limitless stupidity. The film is an odd cinematic ditty to describe – and difficult to appropriate a genre tag to. But like the Flat Lake itself, it promises you something a little different.
